Message from the Head

Al-Risalah Secondary School in Tooting aims to provide an excellent environment based on academic rigor and social development. Our school is committed to the teaching of British and Islamic values of Faith; Respect; Honesty; Tolerance and Community and in trying to live these values every school day.

At Al-Risalah Boys School we understand that professional development is essential to realising our vision. Our staff provide teacher training courses in Holocaust Education and, thanks to their commitment, our school has been awarded Beacon School Status by University College London.

Written into the DNA of our school are the excellent working relationships between staff and students. Apart from classroom learning, we love taking our students out on trips or have members of the community visit our school; a recent visit of 21 Christian priests being one of many such visits.

Al-Risalah Secondary students are engaging, thoughtful and quietly confident. Our students promote community cohesion between the faith groups by their annual involvement in the BATCA Peace Ceremony. Students and staff have raised thousands of pounds for local, national and global causes including St George’s Hospital NeoNatal Unit, the McMillan Cancer Trust, and funds for an entire village to have access to clean water in Sri Lanka.

Fundamental to our success as a school is the commitment of our students, our staff and parents to work collaboratively towards the healthy growth of our school. We recognise that our diversity is our strength and we thank the Almighty for our past, current and future success.

May Peace be on us all.
