Message from the Head
The Orchard Primary School is based within the London Borough of Lambeth. It is a single form entry school with a current roll of 210 pupils from Reception class to Year 6. Orchard had its inception in 2003 and is a proud member of the Al Risalah Education Trust.
In keeping with the vision of the Trust, our aim is to provide a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum which will enable our pupils to become positive citizens and excellent ambassadors for our school. We are blessed with a wonderfully committed staff, enthusiastic pupils and a very supportive parent community.
Orchard is also a member of the Windmill Cluster of schools in Lambeth which incorporates ten schools from a diverse range of backgrounds. Staff members and pupils from the cluster of schools regularly network on a host of different projects.
The Lambeth Schools Partnership (LSP) also provides opportunities for the school in terms of continuous professional development and networking with colleagues from the wider family of schools within the borough. Much of the vision of the LSP in terms of collaborative working is also closely aligned to the vision and values of the Al-Risalah Education Trust.
Overall, achievement and standards at Orchard are outstanding. During the 2017 to 2018 academic year, the school was placed in the top 3% of schools in England for the progress our pupils made between Key Stage 1 and the end of Key Stage 2.
We have been blessed with a newly built building funded by the Department of Education. With the help of our Creator, we look forward to a bright future in serving the needs of our pupils, parents and wider community here at the Orchard!
